Belt Sander/Disc Sander

Belt/Disc Sander – The sanders can be used to shape and finish wood. Because the sanding surface is fixed you can control the shaping process by maneuvering your wood, for example, to round a corner.

REQUIREMENTS

Intro to Woodworking
Members need to provide their own safety glasses or purchase a pair ($3) at FUSE.

TECHNICAL SPECS

Multi-position belt head locks at any angle from 0 degree to 90 degree; includes indexing pin for 0, 45 degree, and 90 degree stops
Belt and disc tables are precision ground cast iron with miter slots
Belt table tilts down to 45 degree, and can be set for beveled and mitered angle sanding
Full cast iron platen with solid crowned aluminum drums for smooth sanding belt movement and support
12″ disc is balanced for flat, even coverage
