Building Community, One Beer Caddy at a Time

Creativity has a way of bringing people together. Whether someone is learning a new skill, trying a tool for the first time, or simply looking for a new experience, making creates opportunities for connection. That’s exactly what happened when FUSE Makerspace brought a hands-on beer caddy workshop to Explora’s Science of Beer Adult Night.

Explora’s Adult Nights invite adults to experience the museum in a new way, combining science, art, and hands-on exploration in an after-hours setting. For this special event, FUSE joined the fun with a workshop where attendees built their own wooden beer caddies while enjoying an evening centered around curiosity, craftsmanship, and community.

FUSE Makerspace is committed to engaging with the greater Albuquerque community by bringing hands-on learning experiences beyond its own walls. Partnerships like this one with Explora allow FUSE to introduce more people to the joy of making while strengthening connections with other organizations that have a passion for lifelong learning and creativity.

This December, FUSE will bring its annual Merry Maker Market to Explora, creating another opportunity for local makers, artists, and the community to come together to celebrate creativity and support small businesses.
