Etsy for Makers 5-Part Workshop

Many makers find themselves needing to transition to new models to reach their market in the pandemic. This 5-part course will cover the hurdles and pitfalls of creating an Etsy shop, as well as ways to optimize your business. Capture online sales during this crazy holiday season by getting your business on Etsy!
Please note that while this class listing is only for October 15, participants are automatically registered in all 5 workshop sessions.
Part 1, Thursday, October 15, 6-8 PM, online Zoom session: Learn about the fees associated with Etsy and the benefits that the site can bring to you, along with finding your target market.
Part 2, Thursday, October 22, 6-8 PM, online Zoom session: Learn Etsy best practices to getting found in search and how to win at SEO.
Part 3, Thursday, October 29, 6-8 PM, online Zoom session: Learn how to take great online photos that help to sell your product, as well as tackling packaging and shipping in your online store.
Part 4, Thursday, November 5, 6-8 PM, online Zoom session: Learn how to promote and market your shop on social media to drive traffic and boost sales.
Part 5, Product Photography Day at FUSE Makerspace, Saturday, November 7, 11 AM – 5 PM with guest instructor Janel Sanchez: Learn how to set up a home photobooth to take images for selling, marketing, and social media. Participants will schedule a 1-hour appointment to meet with Janel and will receive focused attention during their time.
At the end of the Etsy for Makers workshop, participants’ businesses will have the option to be featured on our newly launched Maker Market page on the FUSE Makerspace website. This page will provide details about each participating maker and will link to their e-commerce sites.
Participants are invited to apply for a Bosomworth Scholarship or a McCorkle Workforce Training Center Scholarship from CNM Ingenuity to help cover the cost of the workshop. Information on these scholarships is available here: https://cnmingenuity.org/funding-resources/
