This intensive course will help guide you through the major hurdles and pit falls of creating an optimized Etsy shop. Learn from a 10-year Etsy seller about the best practices that impact new sellers the most including:
- Fees and Cost of running a shop on Etsy
- Getting found in search (SEO)
- Writing descriptions for buyers
- Find your target market
- Packing and Shipping your item
- Taking product photos
- Social Media and marketing your shop
Includes a take home workbook with after class plan for successful habits.

Please come to class with an Etsy account and seller profile already set up (you do not need to list or have items listed in your shop yet for this class). *** This class does not teach or provide computer skills or lessons. Intermediate level knowledge of computer skills, internet browsing/usage, and photo uploading skills is required to attend this class. Bringing a laptop that you are familiar with is highly encouraged.

Eligibility Requirements
You must be a Bernalillo County resident, or a member of a Native American tribe in New Mexico, and your total household income must be 200% of federal poverty guidelines or less, meaning that your household income must be less than the numbers listed below. Additionally, you must be a person of color and a parent of a child age 8 or under.
Special consideration may also be given if you:
- Live in the Albuquerque South Valley Neighborhood
- Live in the Albuquerque International District
- Are a single mother of children under 18
Even if you meet the eligibility requirements, funds are limited and therefore eligibility does not guarantee that you will be awarded funds. If you are approved to receive Access Funds, they cannot be transferred to another person or later class date. You can only receive funds to attend one workshop and you cannot transfer to another class once you are registered.
