Step up to the lathe and discover the rhythm of woodworking in motion. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to safely set up and operate the wood lathe while turning your very own French rolling pin to take home. 

You’ll gain experience with: 

• Preparing your wood blank 

• Using basic turning tools 

• Turning between centers for smooth, even results 

Perfect for first-time turners, this workshop gives you the skills and confidence to explore one of the most satisfying tools in the woodshop. 

Pre-requisite: None.  

Schedule: This workshop meets for 1 session. 

What to Bring and Wear:  

• Closed-toe shoes 

• Short-sleeve shirt 

• No loose clothing 

• Safety glasses (bring your own or purchase at FUSE for $3)
