Step into the shop and learn the fundamentals of MIG welding, one of the most versatile and beginner-friendly welding techniques used in fabrication today. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll build confidence with the tools and techniques that turn raw metal into real-world creations. 

You’ll learn how to: 

• Set up your materials for strong, clean welds 

• Adjust wire feed and voltage settings based on material type 

• Safely operate a MIG welder 

• Troubleshoot common weld issues and refine your technique 

Whether you’re patching up a project or building something bold from scratch, this is your entry point into the world of welding. 

Pre-requisite: None. 

Schedule: This workshop meets for 1 session. 

What to Bring and Wear:  

• Jeans or other natural fiber pants 

• Closed-toe shoes 

• Cotton long-sleeve shirt 

• Safety glasses (bring your own or purchase at FUSE for $3)
