Take your maker skills to the next level with this two-part workshop on CNC routing—where digital design meets precision manufacturing. You’ll learn how to design in Vectric Aspire, generate toolpaths, and safely operate both of our CNC routers—the ShopBot and the X-Carve. 

Part 1: Aspire Software & ShopBot CNC Router
Get started with Vectric Aspire and learn how to prepare your design for carving. Then, head to the shop to set up and operate the ShopBot CNC Router, turning your ideas into precise, repeatable cuts. 

Part 2: X-Carve CNC Router
Take your skills further with the X-Carve CNC Router. You’ll learn how to adapt your Aspire files, set up the machine, and run your projects with confidence. 

Pre-requisite: None. 

Schedule: This workshop meets over 2 sessions—attendance at all sessions is required to complete your project and be signed off on the equipment. 

What to Bring and Wear:  

• Closed-toe shoes 

• Safety glasses (bring your own or purchase at FUSE for $3) 

• A USB jump drive to save and transfer your files
